Heavenly Petals Style
With so many shades, textures, styles and designs, fine wedding flowers add a natural beauty and a unique dash of style and creativity to the arrangements on the day. The bridal bouquet is probably the first and most important choice.
Roses and spray rose are popular all year round, and you can always find a beautiful and stunning variety that fit perfectly with your chosen colour scheme. White and red roses are always popular during the winter months. Winter brides often choose flowers like ranunculus, as these delicate rosette-shaped flowers look beautiful in a bridal posy as well as vase arrangements.
Colour With Heavenly Petals
Rich, bright colours are a brilliant alternative to the icy whites for winter. A mixture of reds, pinks, purples and blues adds a lovely warmth to any wintry themed wedding, Here at YOUR florist in Chelmsford we specialise in real heavenly petals.
Spring evokes thoughts of clean, fresh, crisp colours. Immediately to mind are, whites, yellows and greens. There is an abundant choice of blooms available within this spectrum!
For a striking spring look the vibrant green of viburnum with the babe yellow rose and white stocks would make such a pretty hand-tied bouquet with the stocks supplying a heavenly perfume.
Arriving with the summer months are colours predominantly strong in nature – hot pinks, corals, oranges, yellows and blues. Colour combinations are plentiful at this time of year.
One of my personal favourite summer colour palette’s are hot pinks mixed with corals and vibrant greens. Deep purples, soft blues, lilac and pinks also work wonderfully well together.
The autumnal season tends to lend to a softening of the summer colours. Corals replaced by peaches, soft pinks instead of hot pinks. Autumn colours are very much nature inspired, such as copper and russet tones. When you think of autumn your mind is drawn to (what I like to call) warm, cosy colours – examples being burgundy, greens and orangey reds. These are basically the amazing colours you see the leaves of trees and bushes change into to show autumn has indeed arrived. Dahlia’s, sedum, astrantia, hypericum are just a few great examples of flowers that mimic the romance of autumn weddings so brilliantly.
As well as the traditional posy-style hand-tied bouquets, there are plenty of other style options to make your bouquet stand out from the crowd enhance the beauty you and your wedding gown !
